el: To get more 4G data consumption limit at lesser rates is a dream come true for every mobile internet user these days. And with the entry of Reliance Jio, it is offers galore for 4G users. This is true not only for those who are looking to opt for Reliance Jio, but also existing customers of Airtel and Vodafone. And if you are a pre-paid customer, then it is double triple bonanza for you, with telecom incumbents coming up with new 4G offers every day. In this article we bring you a comparison of the Reliance Jio and Airtel 4G pre-paid data packs.

Reliance Jio: There are ten variants of plans that Reliance Jio is offering – varying in validity (see images below). The plans start from Rs 19 and go up to Rs 4,999. All ten plans offer free unlimited voice calls (local and STD), with free roaming to any network in the country. Similarly all of them provide access to the Jio Apps Subscription worth Rs 1,250. Unlimited SMSes also form part of all packs except for the Rs 149 data pack, in which the customer can send 100 free messages.
Airtel hits back at Reliance Jio, offers 90-day unlimited data for 4G customers.

Airtel: The plans start at Rs 11 and go up to Rs 3346 for the highest variant. Airtel is offering a plethora of options to its customers, the latest of which is a 15GB 90-day data pack for customers. The unlimited data pack is available for Rs 1495. This pack is currently available in Delhi and will be launched across other circles over the next few days. Once the 15 GB data limit is up, the user can use the Airtel app to get additional 15 GB data for ‘free’. Once the 30 GB limit is up, the speed would go to 2G. Additionally, these are the options that are available to Airtel pre-paid customers.
With the entry of Jio, Airtel is leaving no stone unturned to come up with lucrative offers to retain customers. Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has rattled incumbents, and recently Airtel’s Sunil Mittal had admitted that the size and scale of Reliance Jio cannot be underestimated. However, Mittal does not see Airtel’s revenue pie shrinking and has said that people cannot write off the telecom company. Either which way, it is the customers who stand to benefit in this 4G data war.
